Having stayed in a variety of places both in South Africa and around the world, I have rarely had the pleasure of staying in such a serene environment, in the most beautiful building, and with the most delightful company.  Upon arrival I instantly felt at home and at peace, and through-out my stay.  I was graced with the sound of the rain to calm my sleep and the trickling stream to awaken from my dreams.  And all this while in an environmentally friendly habitat that support innovation, creativity and local development.  Truly, it has been one of the most magical stays I have had and I am completely awe inspired.

The shire – a place of peace.   Thanks so much Rob and family for a very memorable stay.  We appreciated the attention to detail in all the intricate wood-work in our cosy chalet surrounded by samango monkeys (including a peek-a-boo visit to the top window!), the bubbling stream, all the bird life and the cicada’s – we feel rested.

Too beautiful...Ah man this is such an incredible place.  Really Rob this place is like nothing else.  We slept in the lap of luxury last night and then wake up in the forest.  What more could anyone ask for.  Thank you for making them and letting us stay in them, we’ll call this place “Zanidoo” (I’ll send you the poem.)

The perfect place for a romantic Valentines Day getaway – secluded and peaceful, with the soothing sound of the stream right outside and the forest.  We loved it here, and are very impressed with the design of the cottage.  Will definitely be back!

What an awesome setting you get to stay in all the time!  We really enjoyed the isolation on the edge of those forest.   It is really an exclusive and unique getaway – we enjoyed the cabins as well – without losing the quietness.  I’m sure you can construct a few more!  And we will be back!
